My Bio
I love creatures, characters, monsters and spirits. I like to think of each of my sculptures as a glimpse into an untold story, with the task of completion left to the viewer.
I began sculpting in the early 90s. With the help of a few favorite books, I developed a mixed media sculpture style that makes heavy use of glued cloth and epoxy sculpting compounds. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, my work has been shown in galleries in San Francisco, Santa Cruz, and Sacramento.
In the late 90s my focus shifted from physcial sculpture to 3D computer graphics. In 2001 I was hired as a character technical director (digital puppet maker) at PDI/Dreamworks. My movie credits include How to Train Your Dragon 1 & 2, Rise of the Guardians, Shrek 2 & 3, Madagascar 1 & 2, Puss in Boots 2, and The Bee Movie.
My interest has now shifted back to physical sculpture and I look forward to sharing new creations regularly.
